A new report from the John Howard Association of Illinois describes its Illinois River Correctional Center monitoring visit. The Vera Institute of Justice examines strategies that police personnel may use to enhance relationships with immigrant community members. Authors from the Yale Law School explore nationwide prison visitation policies and finds many discrepancies. The Vera Institute of Justice provides insight in using Department of Correction administrative data to create a risk assessment to determine recidivism risk.
