In response, Sheriff Joe Arapaio released this statement: "Superior court judges do not order my officers to hold press conferences. I decide who holds press conferences and when they are held regarding this Sheriff's Office. My officer was doing his job and I will not stand by and allow him to be thrown to the wolves by the courts because they feel pressure from the media on this situation."

This type of behavior by Sheriff's deputies happens continuously in Cook County Illinois. They believe they are above the law. They harass whoever they want because of supervisors like Sheriff Joe Arapaio.

The penalty the judge ordered here is light. This deputy should have charged with theft, among other offenses. How can these individuals or our justice system tell others to obey the laws we all have to live by.
