Chicago Business News, Analysis & Articles Illinois House impeaches Blagojevich Crain's
The committee on Thursday unanimously recommended impeachment based on the criminal charges but other allegations as well — that Blagojevich expanded a health care program without proper authority, that he circumvented hiring laws to give jobs to political allies, that he spent millions of dollars on foreign flu vaccine that he knew wasn't needed and couldn't be brought into the country.
Supreme Court cannot legislate from the bench.
U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin says Roland Burris won't be accepted as President-elect Barack Obama's replacement in Senate without the Illinois secretary of state's signature. Durbin said Friday the Senate "must insist" on its rule requiring Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White to sign the appointment documents submitted by Gov. Rod Blagojevich. White is refusing to sign because of the federal corruption charges against Blagojevich that include allegations he tried to sell or trade the seat for personal or political favors. Blagojevich was impeached Friday morning. Durbin says if White doesn't change his mind about signing, the Senate will wait to see if Blagojevich is removed from office after his impeachment trial. That would allow his replacement to make a new Senate appointment.

I have been reporting on my blogs the antics of political corruption and criminal acts of Governor Blagojevich. I have just received information from an employer who I contract with providing services to The Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) that my services have been terminated by DCFS in Springfield, Illinois our State capitol. I believe I have been terminated as an act of retaliation because I have been reporting these stories. I am going to appeal this decision made in Springfield, Illinois. I will write an essay on this issue, disclosing all names from DCFS who have been involved with this issue, and post the essay on my blogs. This is class discrimination, disparate and indifferent treatment.
