Violence in the Cook County Juvenile Temporary Detention Center

"Stop the Violence"!, "Stop the Violence"!, "Stop the Violence"!

As you are well aware violence in the Detention Center is off the charts. With one of the latest victims being Ms. Thomas suffering a concussion, not to mention a lot of our children dying on the streets.  What is it going to take, somebody to die in the facility, in order for something to be done? I hope not, don`t you think it`s time for us to take matters into our own hands and eradicate this violence. So, let`s get rid of the fear and take some drastic action in order to bring this issue into public view, and hold our legislative bodies accountable

So please! join your colleagues without excuse, some community people and also bring your family and friends, as we descend upon the Cook County Board, Tuesday, December 14. It will be Toni Precwinkle`s first meeting as county board President, and surely the press will be there. We`ll meet up at 8:30am, Daley Center Plaza ( Lobby if weather is bad ). Wear your uniform or stop the violence t-shirt as a show of unity. At 9:00am we`ll be going to City Hall, 5th fl as a collective group, the meeting starts at 9:30am and typically last until 3:00pm. If you can`t make it early come any way. We have not been invited but the meeting is open to the public. Maybe if we show up in large enough numbers they will allow us to present ourselves. After the board meeting we`ll possible be showing a presence at Chief Judge Timothy Evans` office, Daley Center room # 2600.

No Excuses! No fear! Be there! SURVIVE!!!
