President Barack Obama issued new orders for the war in Afghanistan Sunday night after meeting with top advisers, including Adm. Mullen, Gens. Cartwright and Petraeus and Secretary Gates, White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs told reporters Monday. Obama also spoke with Amb. Eikenberry and Gen. McChrystal to announce his new strategy.
