Media falsely claim Obama said he doesn't want a justice committed to following the law Media Matters for America: "Media figures and outlets have falsely suggested that President Obama said that he will seek a replacement for Justice David Souter who demonstrates the quality of 'empathy' rather than a commitment to follow the law. In fact, in that statement Obama said that his nominee will demonstrate both."
