Talking with Gay Men about Health, Sex, Drugs, & HIV

Objectives:
  • Identify health concerns disproportionately affecting gay men
  • Understand differences between gay and non-gay-identified MSM
  • Recognize psychosocial risk factors for male-to-male transmission of HIV
  • Identify and address provider biases around sexual risk behavior
Intended Audience:  Physicians, Physician Assistants, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Pharmacists, and Dentists who are managing Patients with HIV disease.

CME Purpose:  To help physicians provide optimum care to patients who present with emerging complications and toxicities of HIV disease and treatment.

CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION CREDIT AVAILABLE FOR: Physicians for an additional $15 fee.
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint sponsorship of the University of Illinois College of Medicine and MATEC. The University of Illinois College of Medicine is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
 
The University of Illinois College of Medicine designates this educational activity for a maximum of 6.5 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
