James Franco: Magic Channing Tatum
While most people are waiting for Spiderman or The Dark Knight Rises, the one film I've been thinking about is Channing Tatum and Steven Soderbergh's Magic Mike. I want Tatum to walk away a champion by making a personal film.

"Save Crossroads" Campaign a Success!

You Made a Difference!

RE:                 Campaign to "Save Crossroads" is Successful!

DATE:           June 29, 2012

Great news! Together, we did it!

Safer Foundation's Crossroads Adult Transition Center is remaining open!

We could not have done this without YOU. Your voice really did make a difference.

Staff members and supporters joined us over the last several weeks, talking to lawmakers, even writing letters to Governor Quinn and others in state government, hoping to convince them of the need to keep funding for re-entry services in the fiscal 2013 budget.

Today, we received the formal notification cancelling the closure of our Crossroads ATC.

Again, this outcome would not have been possible without your dedication, support, and action.

Thanks to you, services remain in place that will give men coming out of prison the tools they need to stay on a crime-free track, get a job, stay employed, pay taxes, and become responsible, law-abiding citizens. When that happens, all of society wins.

Safer Foundation and our clients greatly appreciate all you have done.

Thank you for helping to "Save Crossroads!"

* Many articles refer to people with criminal records as "ex-offenders" or "offenders". While we appreciate all the positive press these issues receive, we are working to use other terms to describe our clients that do not carry such negative connotations. These terms include "people with criminal records" or "people reentering society".
