Dr. Fred -- When it comes to women's rights, I have just about had it with Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan, and the rest of the Republican Party. Let's get this straight: Paul Ryan, Mitt Romney's running mate, was a co-sponsor of a bill that would narrow the definition of rape. After Republican leadership tried, and failed, to force Rep. Todd Akin out of his Senate race, in part for his extreme views on abortion in cases of rape, the Republican Party is ratifying an official platform that follows Akin's policy lead and supports a constitutional ban on abortions -- even in cases of incest and rape. They really do want to roll back women's rights -- and it's up to us to stop them. Tomorrow's the first full day of the Republican convention.
